Happy, Thankful, Hopeful

By Lisa Ackerman

This is my favorite time of year and I’d like to wish everyone a Happy Thanksgiving.  Thanksgiving is a wonderful reminder of all we have to be thankful for family, friends, milestones met and of course the hope for a better tomorrow.  The milestones for children affected by autism come after more time, energy, therapy, and treatments compared to their typically developing peers.  Everyone involved with TACA understands these efforts.  When a family is involved with TACA, they know there are other families cheering them on and appreciating their child’s every milestone.

I want to share a few of TACA resources to help fill your holiday with hope and happiness.  After Thanksgiving, keep coming back to TACA for more resources.

 Special Thanks!

I would also like to say thank you to the many people who have played a large role in helping TACA help families.  Thank you to our volunteers and staff for being incredible and tireless in their efforts to educate and spread hope to families.  I also want to thank TACA’s Board, Ambassadors and Donors for the incredible support and generosity.  Saying thank you isn’t a big enough token for the gratitude I feel, but…THANK YOU.

Most importantly, I want to say thank you to TACA families working around the clock to make a better future for children with autism.  Thank you for caring, searching for answers and sharing your stories of healing and treatment (1.)  I am in awe of your strength and courage to strive for the best possible future for your children.

Happy Thanksgiving,

Lisa Ackerman
