3- The Conference Workbook – Everyone who registers receives a Conference Workbook upon arrival. This workbook contains powerpoint presentations which will be given throughout the conference, organized by track, so that you can follow along and take notes
without having to write down every single detail. (No need to stress about missing anything!) This workbook is yours to keep as an ongoing resource long after the conference is over. It’s our way of sending a little TACA home with you.
4- TACA Mentoring – TACA trains experienced parents to be a part of their long-standing TACA Mentor program. This is a chance to meet TACA Mentors in person. So much of their support is delivered online, via email so take the opportunity to meet these supporters in person. Have you been assigned to a TACA Mentor already? Wondering how to get 1:1 TACA Support while you’re at the conference? It’s simple. Just ask.
5- Conference Coffee Talk – TACA is well known for parent support in the way of TACA Coffee Talks across the country. So at the conference, we are pumping it up and bringing it to every attendee on Friday evening. Doors will open at 6:55pm. When you walk in the room, you’ll see a list of tables with their designated topic and autism expert. You choose your table based on the information you need most. Attendees will rotate to three tables (of your choice) throughout the evening. This is your chance for small group questions and answers as well as learning from the questions of others. You might want to bring a notebook for this.
6- Saturday Morning Power Hour – From 7:00-8:00am, you have 3 options to start your conference day of learning.
7- Professionals – We welcome you to register for the TACA Conference. Plan to attend and be amazed at how driven parents are to find answers to help their child. Learn more to help families in your clinics and classrooms.
8- Saturday Evening Panels – Panels of experienced parents and panels of professionals in a combination to help you learn the most for your family or the children you treat or teach. One ballroom is aimed at information and treatments for newly diagnosed. The second ballroom is aimed at helping more experienced parents. Both rooms will feature two panels each. A panel of experienced parents answering your questions like only a parent can and a panel of doctors devoting their clinics and research to autism.
