I am puzzled. Moving Autism forward? There is only one way to do this for the millions of damaged children around the planet.
Due to the broad spectrum of types of injuries, it is vital that causation is identified. It is not possible to treat any affliction unless the causation is identified.
Reacting to the results or outcomes is not a form of effective treatment and never can be. Prevention is better than no cure resulting from ignorance of cause.
HI Richard,
Thanks for your note. Moving autism forward is different for different backgrounds. My background – I am not a scientist. I am a parent. My personal goal is moving autism forward with a better understanding, access to care and therapies, and helping families help their children – regardless of age. I am going to advocate for finding causes, defining subtypes, defining standards of care and treatments, but I won’t be the one finding the answers. That is not my skill set. We all work towards our skillset. Please see the companion website http://www.tacanow.org for parent and caretaker support. While the future of cause, treatments and possible cures are found, we need to be doing something today to make a difference. Hope that explains the goal. Thanks for your comments,
